Ciechocinek is Poland's biggest lowland spa. It has been famous in Poland and abroad for over 160 years. The spa has rich mineral springs and the water is used in balneotherapy as well as for drinking. The brine graduation towers, built in 1824-1859, are a rare architectural monument, and the aerosol they produce generates a unique microclimate with healing properties. Ciechocinek has favourable bioclimatic conditions: a high percentage of sunny days, minute temperature fluctuations, a large number of windless days per year and a low precipitation level. The following are treated at the spa: diseases of the motor system; rheumatic, respiratory and circulatory diseases; diseases of the nervous system; metabolic disorders. Ciechocinek offers numerous attractions: the "Mushroom" Fountain, the Spa Park with its shell-shaped Concert Hall, and the Summer Theatre, offering its stage to music festivals as well as plays and operas. Right next to the elegant "Baths" the famous flower carpets are laid. The spa is a perfect place for rest and recovery.
